Dare to Fly: Ana Pilot Program

Our new pilot program is a low cost and low risk way to bring Ana to your students. The 12-month guided pilot begins in the fall semester and runs through the spring. It’s designed to demonstrate measurable impact on engagement and persistence by providing students customized:

Students were randomly assigned to either receive Ana’s support or serve as a control group, ensuring a true comparison of outcomes. Students who engaged with Ana graduated at a rate of 6.6% vs. 5.8% for the control group. That’s a 13.7% relative increase!

Yes. Students enrolled in Ana campaigns can text “Hey Ana” at any time. They will receive a response from Ana instantly with different options that will help lead them to possible answers. If the student doesn’t get the answer they need, their message will be sent to our Student Success team.
No. Our team handles setting up campaigns from start to finish. We create a standard set of messages each semester that we customize based upon the school’s academic calendar and available resources, as well as any specific requests from the partner like campus activities, specific deadlines, surveys, etc.
Whenever a student displays serious emotional distress or indicates they may drop out or need additional resources like housing, childcare, etc., the Student Success team will escalate the issue directly to the administrator(s) as quickly as possible.
Absolutely. Students can reply “STOP” to Ana messages at any time. They can also adjust their communication preferences within their Upswing platform.

Partners have access to a specialized and detailed breakdown of campaign engagement and response data that admins can view in real time. This data is available at the campaign level and at the student level. Additionally, admins can view individual conversation history between students and Ana, allowing full transparency.
